Your workspace is private by default. You choose who can access it and can protect a password account with two-factor authentication. Pro also lets you encrypt a Note’s body.
Opened boards are stored on the device so they can load quickly and keep working offline.
Encrypt a Note’s body in your browser. Its title and location remain readable; other workspace content is not covered by Note encryption.

Scoped sharing
Share one board alone or include everything below it. Shortcuts never grant access by themselves. Branch-only guests have view access; workspace members can edit.
Encrypted Note bodies
Pro enables encrypted saves. Encryption and decryption happen in the browser using your passphrase or 256-bit printable recovery key. Free accounts with access can still unlock and read encrypted Notes. Titles, placement, editor mode, sharing metadata, and ciphertext size remain readable.
Durable offline work
After an online first open, edits can persist locally through reloads and sync after reconnection. Save and recovery states remain visible.
Review and recovery
Meaningful activity and Note revisions help you understand changes. Sync recovery is available on Free. Pro adds older revision access and revision restore.
Account protection
Password accounts can add authenticator-based two-factor protection and recovery codes. You can review active sessions and sign out other devices.
Data choices
Download your account records or delete your account from Account settings. This export does not include the contents of your boards, Notes, or images. Workspace owners control membership and shared content.
Clear security boundaries
Typity separates workspace access, branch sharing, local device storage, account protection, and optional Note-body encryption so each control has a clear purpose. Important information should also be kept in an independent backup appropriate to its value.
What Note encryption covers
An encrypted Note protects its body. Typity still needs readable titles, location, sharing metadata, editor mode, and technical size information to organize and operate the product. Regular boards, node Details, comments, and unencrypted Notes are protected by access controls and infrastructure security, not by that Note-body encryption feature.
